Tim Jacobi owns and operates a 15’ x 26’ HO railroad built in the loft of an old carriage house. The layout utilizes Union Pacific and Burlington motive power to power trains around 4 separate mainlines. The original layout section features historic downtown Hastings NE but over time expanded to include the “Arch Crossing” section with 7 bridges over water, a German city named “Jakoburgh” and a motive power service area called “Power Pool Junction” that includes an 8-stall roundhouse. The layout has 300’+ of mainline track is 80% complete and built on open-grid with full backdrops featuring air-brushed open skies, mountains, and a city skyline.
